The Calm After The Storm is part of a series of paintings exploring the moment of peace that can come after a trial passes and you look back and see how God was working in the midst of it. Sometimes the rains come so heavily we can't see the road ahead. There is hope that we can get through the storm. The background is layered through a palette knife and wash technique over time. This gives the painting texture and evokes the passage of time. The rocks has drips to indicate a recent rain. Sides are paintined white and this painting comes wired and ready to hang. Since it is wood panel, it can also stand upright on a shelf or surface.
