The intention of this painting is to pose the question of who the boy is waiting for. Is it someone else or is it you who can offer help? A visual reminder to have an impact on the world. Layers of acrylic paint and washes are built up in the background to create texture that evokes the passage of time. A limited color palette is used in this series to echo the limits faced by those lacking basic needs like clean drinking water, food, and adequate care.
